Research Strategy and Policy Committee (RSPC)
Following the appointment of Professor Steven Schwartz as Vice-Chancellor in 2006, the publication of his "Macquarie at 50" statement and the subsequent Research Strategic Plan, it was determined that the former Research Policy and Management Committee (RPMC) be replaced by the Research Strategy and Policy Committee (RSPC) and its associated Research Management Committee (RMC).
The RSPC, loosely based on the core membership of the RPMC, will concentrate on both internal and external policy matters and will advise the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) on strategic issues for the University. The RMC will be made up of the Associate Deans Research (ADRs) of each Division and will act as a liaison between the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and the Divisions on Division/Discipline-specific matters.
For further details of these two committees please see the Terms of Reference (PDF).
