Before filling in your application form ensure you have read and understood the relevant legislation, guidelines and policies which relate to your project and that you have browsed the information contained in the FAQs relating to AEC policies and procedures.
Applications to the AEC should be submitted on the relevant form. If you are unsure about which form to use, please consult the Animal Welfare Officer leanne.gillespie@vc.mq.edu.au
Only typed applications will be accepted.
Copies of the application forms may be obtained by clicking on the relevant hypertext above. These forms are updated as required. It is crucial that your application is submitted on the current application form. Do not download these forms and save them onto your computer for later use. Always download a fresh form from this web page.
Researchers must not order animals or commence work on new or amended protocols on the basis of verbal advice from the AWO, Chair of the AEC, Secretary of the AEC or from any AEC member.
You must not order animals or commence research on a protocol until you have received an Animal Research Authority and approval number for your protocol from the AWO - or in the case of a request for an amendment to an approved protocol, you must not order animals or commence work until you have written advice from the AWO that your requested amendment has been approved.
