Frequently Asked Questions About Linkage Projects
This section of our website is added to as we field questions from researchers about how to apply for Linkage Projects grants. For full instructions to applicants go to the ARC website.
- Q1: How do I log on to GAMs?
A1: To obtain a GAMS ID and password, please email the following details to grants@mq.edu.au:
Your title (eg Prof), First name, Last name, Department, Date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy), After hours telephone number.
- Q2: I am thinking of putting in a Linkage grant to fund an APA-I scholarship for a local PhD student. The most promising partner would be a state government department. Would they be eligible as a partner organisation in a Linkage Projects application?
A2: Yes, a Government organisation can be a partner on a Linkage Projects grant providing that the money they are committing to the project has not previously been appropriated either for internal research-related activities or for any other purpose of research, evaluation and/or consultancy. We advise that the letter from your government partner supporting your application addresses this concern.
- Apple Macintosh users opening RTF files:
To help avoid formatting issues, save the RTF file to your desktop, open Microsoft Word, then go to 'File' and select 'Open'. In the pop up panel, make sure the dropdown option next to 'Show' is set to 'All Readable Documents'. Now you can select the RTF file and open it.
