The primary purpose of the Macquarie University New Staff Research Grants Scheme (MQNS) is to facilitate the research interests of new academic staff (levels A & B only). Staff are eligible to apply at any time within two years of their first appointment to an eligible position at Macquarie (note the extended eligibility period for this interim round only).

Applications are evaluated on academic merit and individual need. Grants are of one-year duration and the maximum sum that may be applied for is $20,000. Applicants may apply prior to their arrival at the University, provided the University’s Human Resources Office has confirmed their appointment.

To help avoid formatting issues, save the RTF file to your desktop, open Microsoft Word, then go to 'File' and select 'Open'. In the pop up panel, make sure the dropdown option next to 'Show' is set to 'All Readable Documents'. Now you can select the RTF file and open it.
