We manage all administrative aspects of your candidature in consultation with your Division. From applying for admission, arranging enrolment, ensuring that all scholarship holders are paid to finally submitting your thesis, the HDRO is here to assist you.

HDR Guide for Candidates and Supervisors - New Version Winding Road

2008 is year of change for HDR candidature information availability.  A web version of the HDR Guide for Candidates and Supervisors has just been developed which makes access to this important information much easier.  In addition to this, a new HDR Policies & Procedures section on the website has also been added and this will be progressively updated with new documents throughout the year.

World-Class Joint Enrolment Research Flower Opening

Information about the world-class research activity of Macquarie PhD candidates Deanne Bird and Julie Bednarski is available at The Macquarie Globe. Deanne is jointly enrolled in her PhD at the University of Iceland and is investigating public perceptions of volcanogenic hazards. Julie is researching the visual perception of jumping spiders and is jointly enrolled at the University of Massachusetts, Amhurst. They are part of a growing number of Macquarie PhD candidates jointly enrolled with leading international universities.
