The importance of IP and Copyright

Intellectual Property and copyright are important issues for researchers. Each of these acknowledges the individual contributions to research output and the associated rights (such as commercialisation). The University’s policies are quite detailed and all researchers need to know the implications of IP and Copyright for their work. Candidates are particularly encouraged to seek advice from the university before signing any agreement associated with their research project. Please see the Research Office website for details on Intellectual Property: www.research.mq.edu.au/students/new_students/enrolment/ip.
