Orientation Program

Orientation aims to provide a smooth transition for international students locating to a new culture and physical environment. The Higher Degree Research Office runs two Orientation sessions each year, one in first half and the other in second half, for commencing international students.

At Orientation, new HDR students have an opportunity to meet with other international research students and share their research project and interests with one another. Representatives from Macquarie International help provide general information in relation to services available, Health cover, visa matters, living in Sydney, safety issues and the like. Students are also given information on the various activities organised for international students. The Dean Higher Degree Research and the Manager HDRO provide academic and administrative introductions for commencing international HDR students.
