Macquarie University Postgraduate Research Fund (PGRF)

Closing Date: 17 April 2009 (Round 2 2009)

The Macquarie University Postgraduate Research Fund (PGRF)  is administered via your Division HDR Office. Application forms and information are available below.

The normal expectation is that an applicant will be in the third or later second year of doctoral enrolment, or early second year of MPhil enrolment, with significant research results achieved. Candidates are expected to draw on Division funding for initial conference and related research support.

Completed application forms should be submitted directly to the Divisional HDR Administrator. All interviews for the PGRF scheme are organized by Division offices, and for Round 2, 2009 will normally take place between 4 and 8 May. Students who are unable to attend an interview must defer their applications until a subsequent round.

Following applicant interviews, funding recommendations are made by the Dean Higher Degree Research to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research).  Approved PGRF funds will be available from 1 July 2009.  Divisions may provide advance funds to applicants to assure earlier travel bookings.

Please note that all matters relating to the application submission, interviews and subsequent funding as well as any finance account details should be directed to the relevant Divisional HDR Administrator in the first instance.
