Higher Degree Research Committee

The Higher Degree Research Committee (HDRC) is a Committee of Academic Senate responsible for all academic matters relating to Higher Degree Research candidature. HDRC has a Sub-Committee called the Program and Exam Sub-Committee which assesses new research programs, units, scholarship awards, thesis examiner appointments and results. Matters of HDR policy and procedure are also examined by the Higher Degree Research Committee.  A Schedule of Delegations for Committee approvals is in place.

Academic Senate has approved new Terms of Reference for the Higher Degree Research Committee which will apply from 1 January 2009.  The new Terms of Reference reflect the new academic structure of Macquarie University and ensure that this important Committee continues to support the strategic research training goals of the University.
