Commonwealth Scholarships UK (CSFP)

CSFP - UK

Commonwealth Scholarships in the United Kingdom (CSFP) tenable for study from October 2009.
Nominations are invited for:

  1. One year taught masters courses or equivalent degrees
  2. Doctoral degrees, of up to three years duration
  3. One year research on a split-site basis, towards a PhD registered at a university in your country

Applications will normally be accepted only from Commonwealth citizens resident outside Britain who hold, or expect to hold by October 2009, a first degree of at least upper second class honours level or a degree of second class and a relevant postgraduate degree.

Awards are tenable at any UK institution of higher education. Candidates are expected to state their preferred institutions on the application form, but the final decision on host institution will be made by the UK Scholarships Commission.

A prospectus for additional information and the 2009 CSFP application form are available on the IDP website. Applicants should note that confidential references specifically related to the candidate’s suitability for the planned studies will need to be included in the application.

Candidates forward their completed CSFP applications to the relevant scholarships offices of the Australian institution where they completed their undergraduate degree. You will need to submit your (5) applications to Macquarie University by the closing date advertised above for ranking and nomination to the second round reviews by the scheme closing date at IDP 31 October 2008.
